Defender Jonny Evans is expected to recover from a dead leg. The former Manchester United man was forced off in the final five minutes of last week's 0-0 draw with Southampton but boss Tony Pulis believes he will be fit. Saido Berahino could start after returning to the squad last week following his strike threat, eventually coming off the bench as a second-half substitute but goalkeeper Ben Foster (knee) remains sidelined.

Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic will serve the second game of his three-match ban. He will be joined on the sidelines by goalkeeper Karl Darlow (ankle), defenders Steven Taylor and Paul Dummett (both hamstring) and midfielder Cheick Tiote (knee). Rob Elliot is likely to provide the back-up for Tim Krul from the bench, while midfielder Sylvain Marveaux is back in training after a groin problem, but defender Mike Williamson (arm) and striker Emmanuel Riviere (knee) are still out.

Fellow substitutes last Sunday Ngolo Kante and Leonardo Ulloa also played a major part in Leicester overturning that two-goal deficit and all three players come into manager Claudio Ranieri's thinking for starting places at the Britannia Stadium.

Seamus Coleman and Muhamed Besic both came off in last weekend's victory over Chelsea due to hamstring problems, but Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has reported the pair have reacted well to treatment and are not being ruled out of the trip to Wales. If they do not make it, their replacements in that game -- debutant Ramiro Funes Mori and hat trick hero Steven Naismith -- will be ready to step in again. MANCHESTER CITY Vs WEST HAM (19:00 EAT)

MAN CITY

Vincent Kompany will out but star striker Sergio Aguero is fit. Kompany suffered a calf injury in the midweek Champions League loss to Juventus and is also out of Tuesday's Capital One Cup tie against Sunderland, but Aguero has recovered from his knee problem.
